We really liked the salt and waited for the right dish to use the truffles. Unfortunately, when we opened the truffles, not only was there no smell, but there was no taste either. We are returning this back to costco.

That’s unfortunate! The whole black summer truffles definitely had a distinct taste and smell to it. But the truffle salt had a much milder smell and flavor profile for sure. Maybe yours was a bad batch. Did you check the expiration date?
